How Exclusion Services Protect Your Property

Exclusion services focus on preventing pests from gaining access to your property. This includes:

• Identifying and sealing gaps, cracks, and other entry points around the roofline, foundation, and utility penetrations
• Rescreening gable vents, soffits, and chimneys
• Sealing attics, basements, and crawl spaces to prevent rodents and bats from nesting
• Disinfecting areas previously occupied by wildlife to remove pheromone trails and deter future infestations

By addressing these issues at the source, exclusion services not only reduce the risk of damage but also improve indoor comfort and energy efficiency.

Attic Exclusion and Remediation

A common area for wildlife intrusion is the attic. Chewed wires and fire hazards are the #1 concern for attics.  If your home has a history of mice, rats or other critters, call us as soon as possible to schedule a full attic evaluation. 

Exclusion in this attic involved:

• Rescreening gable vents and sealing gaps around the chimney
• Installing new rodent screening to exclude animals from entering along soffit vents.
• Installing one-way doors, if needed to allow animals such as squirrels and bats to safely exit the structure. We will return to remove these one-way devices and perform final seal.
• These measures prevent rodents, animals  and bats from re-entering the attic..

BAT EXCLUSION SERVICES

Bat exclusion is a specialized form of attic exclusion. Common entry points include gable vents, soffit vents, ridge vents, gaps around dormers as well as gaps around chimneys. 

Our process includes:

• Rescreening gable vents
• Sealing all potential roofline gaps around dormers or gable ends.
• Sealing gaps along soffit vents or ridge vents is also critical to long term bat solutions.
• Installing one way devices that allow bats to leave safely but prevent re-entry.
• Performing a full attic and roofline assessment to identify less obvious entry points

All bat services are back up by a 1-year guarantee against bat reentry. If the bats come back, so do we at no cost to you. We work closely with bat conservation groups to ensure your home is secure while remaining humane and environmentally responsible.

Squirrel EXCLUSION SERVICES

Squirrel exclusion is another specialized form of exclusion. It includes many of the same areas as bat exclusion, with main difference being we use squirrel one-way doors.

Wildlife EXCLUSION SERVICES

Many animals find their way into tight protected areas such as under low lying decks and porches. Burrow blocking includes burying ¼ inch galvanized rodent screen 12 inches below grade and folding out another 12 inches horizontally, which is then buried. This technique prevents animals from digging under to access these low-lying decks and porches permanently.
